Update to Adobe Enabled Desktop Widgets
Friday, June 15th, 2007Adobe has just released a beta version of the Adobe Integrated Runtime - Adobe AIR.
Adobe® AIR™ is a cross-operating system runtime that allows web
application developers to use their existing web development skills to
build and deploy rich Internet applications to the desktop.
Our
widgets have now been upgraded to run on AIR. That has a nice sound to
it… If you’ve previously installed the yourminis AIR file and the
Apollo Alpha, you will need to uninstall both of those applications.
To get the yourminis widgets on the AIR platform running on your desktop:
- Get the AIR platform from Adobe and install it
- Make sure to then download the yourminis AIR file (widget manager) and install that as well.
Once you follow the steps outlined, you should be able to download any of our widgets to your desktop.
As always, let us know what you think of the functionality, but remember that this is still a beta release.
